Frequently Asked Questions

With new breakthroughs come new questions. Here are some frequently asked questions we’ve received.

Narrow Your Questions By:

How does WatchDog help me?

PlusMinus

WatchDog alerts technicians to the presence of defects and labels them according to type.  In the event of a serious set of findings – what we refer to as a Red Flag – WatchDog will send notifications to management alerting them that they have an instrument that is seriously compromised.

How does my workflow change with WatchDog?

PlusMinus

It doesn’t! WatchDog will enhance your workflow processes, maintaining efficiency while increasing effectiveness by alerting management of instruments that are not patient ready.

What about security concerns?

PlusMinus

Data is fully secured and compliant with HIPAA and HITECH requirements; WatchDog doesn’t contain any patient information and therefore patient confidentiality is not a concern.

We’re interested in purchasing an inspection scope but are concerned about what we’re seeing, will WatchDog help us?

PlusMinus

Yes, WatchDog is a decision support tool that will communicate to you and your staff if an instrument is patient ready (Green light), or not patient ready (Red light). If an instrument receives a red light then the technician sets the instrument aside, a red light alert is sent to the department manager via mobile device, thereby maintaining workflow.

Does WatchDog provide a service history record for instruments inspected using WatchDog?

PlusMinus

Yes, our cloud-based system provides a simple and organized tool for transparently seeing the service frequency and service costs for a particular instrument throughout its life cycle.

How can WatchDog save money for my facility?

PlusMinus

Using predictive analytics WatchDog will inform SPD managers of the probable costs for repairing an instrument immediately versus the added cost of waiting to repair an instrument. Additionally, if a hospital or ASC experiences an infectious event involving many patients, WatchDog’s instrument history search tool can identify whether or not a particular instrument was the vector for infection.

My facility has an inspection scope, will WatchDog work?

PlusMinus

In most cases yes.  If not, one can be obtained by contacting Healthmark Industries at www.hmark.com.

Is WatchDog expensive?

PlusMinus

No, WatchDog is not expensive and available for a monthly or yearly subscription. A subscription is less than the cost of reprocessing 11 endoscopes!

My facility is interested in using a borescope/inspection scope work station in our process, what do we need?

PlusMinus

You’ll need an Inspection Scope, which can be purchased from Healthmark Industries, www.hmark.com. You can then load WatchDog AI software.
